Hey all Westside iPad-ers.
Just checking in.
Did anyone find some good / great / worthwhile apps while on hols?
There are some class sets of iPads that are waiting to be used - we need to sort out some details of how they will be managed - so if you have questions / ideas / etc please use this forum to exchange info.
I will be trying (in the next little while) to get my head around some of the 'usage' / 'management' issues in the next few weeks - so hopefully we'll have something ready to go shortly,

Hey! I thought you might want to know. I'm getting pretty excited about using the iPad as a teaching tool in class! At the moment I'm using the iPad for the following things;
ReplyDelete1 marking my roll in the morning (using TASS on Safari)
2 marking my class rolls in Teacher Pal (which took a while to set up but is very handy)
3 using the calendar as my Daybook ( I set up a separate Calendar on Outlook which I can update on the iPad my phone or my computer)
4 keeping records of student homework, grades, notes received in Numbers ( the Excel of Apple). I have gone through a learning curve but I find Numbers really handy!
5 using textbooks either over safari (PDF) or transferring them into iBooks
6 reading and writing emails
7 web surfing
8 blog writing!
Wow what blast! What have others been doing?
